Ever since my LA Ensenada and Ricky's fish tacos days, I've been looking for an authentic joint to satiate my cravings. Wednesdays are date night and my queen did not disappoint. She found this hole-in-the-wall establishment with a welcoming, modern decor. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by very friendly staff. I wasn't sure if this was family owned but the employees gave a family-like vibe. As soon as we sat down, we noticed it was happy hour, which was very pleasant since this is a rare occurrence past 5:00. We decided to order the nachos and some tacos - I have to tell you, these dishes were not happy hour portions. For $7, you get a huge platter of nachos, STACKED. Literally. Every. Single. Chip. Had. Meat. Cheese. Guacamole. Trimmings. This alone could have fed us for dinner. My Baja fish tacos were amazing. I went with the medium spice and did my stomachs a favor since I indulge myself in hot every single day. The cilantro cream was so perfect and each taco was piled with tomatoes, cabbage, and whatever was drowning in goodness. We also ordered the fish ceviche which was really good. Unfortunately, we took it to go and the acidity from the mine made the fish too tender for our liking. We should have finished it there but both of us were too full. My wife ordered the shrimp tacos and claimed that it was one of her faves. This is huge as she is a husband-certified foodie. I love the fact that we can indulge in authentic tacos here in LA. More so, I appreciate and respect those that allow us to experience different cuisines, without the need to travel abroad. I don't know who Lola is but I'm sure she spread love through her recipes and cooking - translated so flawlessly for the rest of us to enjoy.

Parking is not an issue. Staff is very kind and helpful. Prices and portions are fair. Specials available at this fast casual and cozy spot. They also have deals depending on the day with their tacos. Menu has a good variety. Free chips and a delicious salsa when you check in on Yelp.
